The Tee gets a facelift… and it’s available for a limited time on heavy pattern paper!

Sold Out!  I mailed the last of the original printing of the Tee… Wow, thank you to everyone who has supported j stern designs by purchasing a pattern.  I haven’t looked at actual pattern sheet in a while… I’m glad I checked it out before I got it reprinted….  I decided to smooth out some of the wavy cutting lines.

I also decided to make it easier to work with the small side front bodice pattern piece. I’ve discovered from teaching workshops that some students have a hard time staying on the correct size when tracing or cutting out this piece because the curved lines of the armhole criss-cross  each other between sizes.  In addition to alternating dashed and solid cutting lines, I decided to break up the single graded nest into two.  Now it’s easy to see which size it which. (I also labeled the sizes :)

Of course, after proofing the pattern, I had to cut out a sample for me…. I’ve often wondered why I didn’t have a basic black Tee… I do now!  My friend Marisa was over, and she helped me cut out the pattern pieces… Secretly it was a test to see if she could cut out the xl quickly and easily.  I’m happy to report that she could follow all the cutting lines without getting confused about which line was which!  Yay

I have decided that I am going to offer the Tee on heavy paper for a while… So, if you’ve been waiting to get your pattern, and you’re not a fan of tissue paper, here’s your chance :)

If you ordered the Tee at the Novi Sewing Expo… I’m happy to report that it’s officially in the mail!  If you ordered Jean and Skirt Workbooks, those will be in the mail tomorrow… there was a small hold up at the printer for those.
