Happy New Year!

I hope that everyone had a wonderful holiday and New Year celebrations. Our holiday was better than I could have hoped for considering everything that was going on… Now I’m regrouping and marching into 2013. It’s going to be a huge year of change. Sanford Brown College is down-sizing our location out of existence. Right now, I’m busy teaching fashion students who are finishing up the program, but soon, the doors will be closed. Upon hearing this news, I took a moment to consider my options… After talking about it with my husband, we decided that instead of starting the mad rush to find a “job”… I would use this opportunity to focus on our businesses. This means I can stay home and focus on J Stern Designs and also help with some editing and shooting for Cinematic Wedding Story… My husband’s gig.
Blogging has been a little challenging for me the past several months… but I have some fresh ideas for 2013 that will make it more exciting for me… and for you (I hope). I am going to be changing up the format a little… stay tuned for that to start in February. I’m also working on some exciting new workshops. I’m up to my eyeballs in cup-sized torso slopers for my new Perfectly Fitted Shirt Workshop that I’ll be teaching in February for the ASDP and at the 2013 National ASG Conference. … I actually had to drag out my garment rack so I can keep all the samples organized! I’m also working on some details and embellishment techniques for a Workshop that will show you how to customize and embellish your jeans once you’ve perfected the pattern! If you’re interested in where I’ll be in 2013, I’ve also updated my upcoming workshop page.

Hi Jennifer!
Happy New Year to you too!
I made a second pair of your jeans, this time in brown uncut corduroy, so they look like velveteen. They’re great!!!
